Our client is a global leader in its sector, as they evolve their software ecosystem into a modular pr oduct suite, they are seeking a high-caliber Data Engineer to spearhead the development of a new IoT telemetry and analytics component.
This is a pivotal role where you won’t just manage data; you will design the architecture that transforms raw industrial telemetry into strategic insights through advanced dashboards and statistical analysis.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Architecture: Lead the design and development of scalable data storage, transformation pipelines (ETL/ELT), and reporting solutions.
- Modeling & Semantic Layer: Design robust data models and develop the Semantic Layer to ensure data consistency and ease of consumption for BI tools.
- IoT Ingestion: Build efficient data ingestion processes to collect telemetry from distributed applications and robots.
- Cloud Evolution: Contribute to the migration and administration of future cloud-based data offerings (Azure/AWS).
- Performance Engineering: Optimize complex queries and manage database health (HA/DR) to support mission-critical, real-time environments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Experience: 10+ years in design, development, and administration of relational databases, specifically Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- Advanced SQL: Mastery of T-SQL, query tuning, recursion, and optimization for both OLTP and OLAP systems.
- Analytics Stack: Deep knowledge of ETL/ELT tools and experience with BI/Dashboarding platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Metabase).
- Software Engineering: Proficiency in .NET/C# and experience with ORM frameworks (EF, NHibernate).
- DevOps Culture: Familiarity with Git, unit testing for SQL, and Agile methodologies.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
The Ideal Candidate
You are a “can-do” professional who believes software should be “simply elegant.” You are an excellent team player, capable of creating the “chemistry” needed for a top-tier engineering squad. Experience in industrial automation, telecommunications, or mission-critical software is highly appreciated.
Language: Fluent English is required
